Active Membership

For paediatric orthopaedic surgeons working in Europe or bordering Mediterranean countries*. Members must contribute to clinical practice, research, or education. Active members have full voting rights.

Albania, Andorra, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and Vatican City.

Mediterranean-bordering non-European countries:
Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, and Tunisia.

Corresponding Membership

For paediatric orthopaedic surgeons working outside of Europe or bordering Mediterranean countries. Members must contribute to clinical practice, research, or education. Corresponding members have full voting rights.

Associate Membership

For professionals in related fields (not paediatric orthopaedic surgeons) who contribute to paediatric musculoskeletal research, education, or clinical work, regardless of their location.

Candidate Membership

For trainees or those not yet qualified in paediatric orthopaedic surgery, regardless of their location. Membership is limited to five years or until training is completed. After this period, members automatically transition to Active or Corresponding membership depending on their location.

Emeritus Membership

For retired Active or Corresponding members (age 65+ or due to ill health). Emeritus members remain engaged without paying membership fees. To apply, members must send a formal request including proof of retirement, or proof of incapacity to work.

Honorary Membership

Granted by the General Assembly to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to paediatric orthopaedics. Nominations require five co-signatories.
