The EPOS Education Committee has developed the EPOS BAT Educational Programme, designed to meet the standards set by the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EBOT). This comprehensive syllabus promotes knowledge-sharing and fosters a deeper understanding of paediatric orthopaedics.

The acronym BAT represents the programme's three core components: Basic Courses, Advanced Courses, and Traumatology Courses. Together, these modules offer a structured learning pathway aimed at enhancing diagnostic and management skills in paediatric orthopaedics through a problem-solving approach supported by current research evidence.

The core curriculum is covered through a combination of two Basic Courses (Modules I and II) and one Traumatology Course. These foundational courses are suitable for orthopaedic surgeons seeking to strengthen their general knowledge in the field. In contrast, the Advanced Courses are tailored for paediatric orthopaedic surgeons working in highly specialised environments.

Each course is delivered by a distinguished faculty of internationally recognised experts in paediatric orthopaedics from across Europe and the USA, ensuring participants benefit from a wealth of global expertise and perspectives.
