Our team consists of seven paediatric orthopaedic surgeons (Melinda Witbreuk, Ralph Sakkers, Wouter Nijhuis, Anne Spaans, Arnard van der Zwan, Peter Struijs, Arthur Kievit) who provide comprehensive care across the entire spectrum of paediatric orthopaedics, with the exception of spinal conditions.
Our centre focuses on various specialised areas within paediatric orthopaedics. We are a national centre for primary bone dysplasia and an ERN centre for osteogenesis imperfecta, providing expert care for children with skeletal dysplasia. Our dedicated cerebral palsy centre, along with our expertise in other neuromuscular disorders such as spina bifida and arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC), ensures comprehensive management for patients with complex conditions. We also specialise in limb deformities, serving as the national centre for dysostosis and an ERN centre for limb reduction defects. As the national referral centre for hereditary multiple osteochondromas, we offer advanced treatment options for this condition. Our expertise extends to complex foot pathology, hip surgery, and the management of slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE), including the modified Dunn procedure. Additionally, we provide a full range of general paediatric orthopaedic surgical care.
