Our paediatric spine care programme handles a significant volume of cases, performing over 100 complex spine surgeries annually, with 2–4 surgeries each week, and managing more than 3,000 outpatient spine patients each year. We offer innovative conservative treatments, including 3D-printed, patient-specific braces for spine deformities, and work in close collaboration with paediatric spinal neurosurgery teams.
Our approach integrates advanced technologies such as VR-based preoperative planning and intraoperative navigation with Brainlab-LoopX, ensuring precision and safety. For early-onset scoliosis, we provide growth-sparing surgical options, including MAGEC® and Nemost® / Tanit® systems. Multidisciplinary care is a cornerstone of our programme, supported by interdisciplinary clinics and case review boards. Additionally, we utilise state-of-the-art instrumentation, including Expedium, Verse, Reline Small Stature, and Euros systems, to deliver optimal outcomes for our patients.

Our department handles an impressive annual volume of cases, including 150–200 benign tumour resections, 20–30 malignant tumour resections, and approximately 10 limb lengthening procedures involving the upper arm, tibia, and femur. We also conduct over 4,000 outpatient consultations each year. Our expertise is supported by advanced technologies such as digital planning tools, 3D-printed cutting guides for precise deformity corrections and tumour resections, and extracorporeal radiation of resected bone segments with subsequent reimplantation. We utilise cutting-edge limb lengthening systems, including Fitbone®, Precise®, and variable external fixators, and specialise in the conservative and operative management of conditions such as Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip, Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis, and Legg-Calvé-Perthes Disease. For complex cases, we adopt an interdisciplinary approach, actively participating in tumour, infection, and deformity boards to ensure comprehensive and collaborative care.
