Fellowships

What is FEPOS?

FEPOS (Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics under EPOS Supervision) is a specialised training programme designed for orthopaedic surgeons seeking advanced education in Paediatric Orthopaedics.

This paid fellowship provides young orthopaedic surgeons with the opportunity to train for one year in a renowned orthopaedic department. As Europe is diverse, specific requirements may vary by location, and each fellow will have a direct contract with the hosting hospital.

By clicking on the available cities on the interactive map below, you can explore:

  • Hospital details and training opportunities
  • Application requirements
  • Key contact persons for inquiries

Please note that FEPOS is an evolving project, and only certain countries currently offer advertised positions.

Good luck with your application!

Observerships

Education and continuous learning are at the core of EPOS. We are happy to introduce a new networking space for short clinical and research observerships.

These observerships provide an exceptional opportunity—particularly for young surgeons—to gain valuable exposure in specialised clinical settings.

Participants will be able to:

✔ Observe surgeries, procedures, and patient care routines.
✔ Learn about diverse techniques and patient management approaches.
✔ Experience advanced surgical tools and techniques not readily available in their current practice.
✔ Gain insights into innovative procedures and cutting-edge research.
✔ Build professional connections with experts in the field.

No participation fees! Observerships are free of charge—participants only need to cover travel, accommodation, and meals. With minimal administrative requirements and flexible durations of just a few days, they are designed to fit seamlessly into busy schedules while enhancing career prospects.

How to Get Involved

➡ For Hosts: If you would like to offer an observership, send the details (host’s name, affiliation, observership description, and contact information) to the EPOS Central Office at secretariat@epos.org. Once reviewed, your opportunity will be published on our website.

➡ For Applicants: Browse available observerships below and contact the host directly to apply.

Take advantage of this unique initiative to expand your expertise and connect with leading professionals in paediatric orthopaedics!
